Slaughterhouse

This is kinda old news but Slaughterhouse is the backpacker MCs answer to all that " annoying shit you hear on the radio." Backpackers came in their under-roos when this rap group was announced. Joell Ortiz, Joe Budden, Crooked I, and Royce Nickle 9 is who the group consist of. NOW from what I've heard of each of these artists on the solo tip, all of them (with the exception of Joel Ortiz because I never took the time to actually listen to him with a scrutinizing ear) make decent music. With that being said, there is no way anyone can say that I am in any way shape or form hating on slaughterhouse.

They will never be popular, or members of the cool kids club because Eminem signed them to Shady Records.

Now I like Eminem as much as the next guy... but seriously, there is NO WAY ON EARTH I would ever sign to Shady Records. The goal of being signed is so that you can get paid, and have a wider audience while getting paid. Once again, they are signed to Shady Records. The only person on Shady Records that is moving units is Shady. I guess you can count 50 Cent ... but that guy just needed capital and then Eminem left him alone to print money. Wheres Obie Tryce? Where is Stat Quo? Where the Fuck is D12?? And those 3 are artists that I actually followed and tried to see what they were doing.

Bottom Line: Slaughterhouse is good on paper. They all got dope rhymes, and got good producers working with them........ but they probably are barely going to go gold.
